Magnetic Reconnection as the Driver of the Solar Wind We present EUV solar observations showing evidence for omnipresent jetting activity driven by small-scale magnetic reconnection at the base of the solar corona. We argue that the physical mechanism that heats and drives the solar wind at its source is ubiquitous magnetic reconnection in the form of small-scale jetting activity (a.k.a. jetlets). Does Turbulence along the Coronal Current Sheet Drive Ion Cyclotron Waves? Evidence for the presence of ion cyclotron waves (ICWs), driven by turbulence, at the boundaries of the current sheet is reported in this paper. Switchbacks are localized deviations from the nominal Parker spiral field in the solar wind. In this study, we investigate the electron distributions inside switchbacks, focusing primarily on the suprathermal (halo and strahl) populations. We examine in greater detail five events previously identified as being sources of strong transient coronal outflows in a solar polar region in Hinode/Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) Imaging Spectrometer (EIS) Doppler data. Core Electron Heating by Triggered Ion Acoustic Waves in the Solar Wind Perihelion passes on Parker Solar Probe orbits 6-9 have been studied to show that solar wind core electrons emerged from 15 solar radii with a temperature of 55 \ensuremath\pm 5 eV, independent of the solar wind speed, which varied from 300 to 800 km s$^-1$. Patches of Magnetic Switchbacks and Their Origins Parker Solar Probe (PSP) has shown that the solar wind in the inner heliosphere is characterized by the quasi omnipresence of magnetic switchbacks ( switchback hereinafter), local backward bends of magnetic field lines. Simulation results from a global magnetohydrodynamic model of the solar corona and solar wind are compared with Parker Solar Probe (PSP) observations during its first five orbits.
